Can you put a 26x1.75 bicycle tire on a rim that has a 26x1.95 on it now?

Can you put a 26x1.75 bicycle tire on a rim that has a 26x1.95 on it now?
I had the same question. I bought 1.75s today and I currently have 1.95s so ill let you know. if you havent found out yet.
