Would a 2000 silverado truck bed lid fit a 1995 silverado?

Would a 2000 silverado truck bed lid fit a 1995 silverado?
If it is the same length it may sit on the frame but would likely be wider and need the monts adapted to fit and the ultimate result probably would not be worth the effort.
