I owed Late maintanace fees for a timeshare that I purchased. I tried to dispute the amount and wanted to make arrangements to paid the amount. Instead I received written notification that a lien was placed against me in 02/14, which I was never notified until a week ago. I then tried to contact them by e-mail since requesting payment arrangements beginning 02/10/15. I was not send a bill or phone number to still make arrangements to paid what I owe. I am still waiting to here from them, they ignored my first letter, so that is why I send an email .My question is, do I need an attorney? What to do I do next? The timeshare is located in Orlando Florida with Diamond International Resorts.

It would be a good idea to retain an Attorney because these timeshare companies are not very good at following up, or answering letters and the next communication you receive from them could be a notice of foreclosure which would mean additional charges for you to pay before they remove the lien. They are more apt to take notice and respond to a letter from an attorney, rather than a letter from the owner of the timeshare.
