Sir/Mam: my husband is a green card holder and just wanted to go back to Guam instead of Texas where he resides. Is it legal that he just go back in Guam instead of any states of US? The reasons is that for a low fare and Guam is closest to the Philippines. Is a day or two of stay in Guam good enough and then he can go back again in the Philippines? He works abroad meaning out of US and always out for 6mos. We look forward to hear from you. Thank you

In order for a person not to be considered having abandoned his U.S. Legal Permanent Residency, he must be actually residing in the United States or its possessions (such as Guam). If your husband is really living in the Philippines, going to Guam a couple of times per year for a few days is not going to prove his intention to maintain his LPR status.
