Your description of a judgment of dismissal for default judgment is confusing because those are two very different things. A judgment of dismissal would generally be a dismissal of the plaintiff's action on account of the plaintiff failing to appear or to do something they were ordered by a court to do. A default judgment would generally be a default by the defendant on account of defendant's failure to appear or to do something they were ordered to do. A default judgment would generally result in the plaintiff being awarded their requested relief. You may have your terms confused, which is understandable. Reach out to an attorney.
