What is pop art used for?
Philosophically, to make us aware of our consumerist attitude to life in playful ways; Practically, to cover up The Who's lead singer Roger Daltrey's eye injury (sustained when accidentally hit by Gary Glitter's microphone standard while performing "The Punk & the Godfather" as part of a concert featuring the band's epic "Quadrophenia") with an eyepatch featuring a pop art design, reminiscent of the former mod band's tee-shirts worn in the mid-1960s.
