Question

If a plantiff fills out a police report accusing a person of a misdemenor, a court date has been set and a lawyer has been named for the defendant. Can the plaintiff change their mind and decide to drop the complaint thus having the charges dropped ?

Answer

Chargins decisions are always ultimately the decision of the County Attorney. One of the considerations is the wishes of the accuser/victim.
