In England, yes. Its a joke and will get you no further and waste your money. Why don't you try a placement instead.


In the U.S for the most part yes, they don't have much credibility for the employers and most will try to convince you they do. Beverage management tho might not be.
Just start as a bar back.

In the U.S it depends. If you are looking to work at your local bar not at all. If you are looking to work at a casino or a higher class place in the future, you must know and get tested on many drinks so bar tending school is a great way to study and practice.
