Since we are living abroad, I simply want to know how much it costs to hire a lawyer for the green card process on my French husband. Also, I wish to know how much it will cost to hire an attorney for the citizenship process later on, and if there is a discount if we use the same attorney for both procedures.

Usually consular processed cases (like yours) cost more than adjustment of status cases filed in the U.S., because they are more of a hassle, more involved, more labor, etc.
Most people can file for citizenship on their own, so you shouldn't necessarily need an attorney for that.

Attorney fees vary. A lot will depend on the specific facts of your case (eg. does he have criminal arrests, has he overstayed his time in the US before or has he ever had a final order of removal issued against him, has he been previously denied residency?)
Likewise, if any facts change after his period of residency, this may affect his ability to and/or the difficulty in obtaining his citizenship.
