Question

Separation

Hi, my friend has been married for 17 years and he has three children. He wants to separate, but doesn't just want to walk out. He's afraid that he will be abandoning his children. His wife was already kicking him out. What will be the right way to handle this? Legally. Thank you very much for your kind attention to this matter.

Answer

Re: Separation

He should contact a competent divorce attorney to help negotiate a separation agreement. His wife should also have representation. An agreement fairly drawn up outlining all the parties rights and obligations will save both parties aggravation and cost.
