Can an employer hold back wages for what he considers are mistakes example not turning off lights or leaving lid to waffle iron open or forgetting to turn off equipment?

It would depend on how often these mistakes occur, because by leaving these items on costs money, and could decrease the lifetime of certain pieces of equipment. But if it is just once or twice and never happens again kind of deal, I don't think they should.
