Can an ARD on a criminal background check affect employment oppurtunities?
Answer
It certainly could. However, ARD is not a conviction so if you fill out a job application you can answer "No" if it asks "Have you ever been convicted." Depending upon the county where you received ARD expungement is either automatic (Bucks county) or if it is another county you would have to file a petition for expungement with the court.
I would suggest that you go to the PA State Police's website to see if it was expunged.
