Yes
My ex-wife and I had a vacation timeshare. Neither of us want it. Both of our names are on it. How can we get rid of this?? Nobody will buy it. Its a monthly payment and a maintenance fee yearly. It's just too much money. Is there any way possible to get out from underneath this?
You need to consult with an attorney who can review the timeshare documents. That may be where your remedies and liabilities should be contained.
A girlfriend of mine wore a wire, and did a controlled buy on me. She is a ci. If she doesnt show up to my trial, is it grounds for dismissal.if not, what is? I discredit her completely
The cops set up these controlled buys so that they have direct evidence of a person either buying or selling. They try to make it so they don't need the CI in order to prove the case. The credibility of the CI is less of an issue when the prosecution has other evidence to use. With that said, you may have some very good defenses and arguments to make. Sit down for a consultation with a lawyer right away. Feel free to give me a call.

Attorneys are not to solicit clients hereon. I urge you to confer privately at this time with an experienced and reputable attorney so she may assist and advise you. Officers tend to stage such controlled buys so that they have evidence regardless of the CI 'showing up at trial'.

I agree with Mr. Edmunds. There may be ways to suppress the recording as evidence. If the CI is needed to testify by either party there may be chance that the CI would be required to testify or be held in contempt of court (i.e. put in jail until she decides to testify.)
In a domestic abuse case in Iowa is it mandatory that both parties be arrested and go to jail? My daughter was charged with domestic assault when she didn't even hit her boyfriend. He punched her in the face because she screamed at him but the incident happened at his parents house and his mother called the police. When they showed up they immediately cuffed her and hauled her off to jail. They never asked her what her side of the story or of a statement. She never got a chance to talk.
There is no requirement that both parties be arrested. Usually the police will make a judgment call at the scene on whom they believe is the abuser and who is the victim and make one arrest, but sometimes they do arrest both if they feel both committed assaults, but there is no requirement that both be arrested.
