I signed a lease in August for a townhome. In November I found out I was pregnant and thus would need to move out. I called the landlord to inform her and how I should go about ending the lease. She said I needed to find subleasers or she would sue me. I started posting ads and came to find out that the townhome is only zoned for 2 unrelated people...but there are 4 people living there. 2 sets of couples but none of us are married. I don't feel comfortable trying to find people to rent this place if it's not even legal for them to do so. I believe our landlord doesn't know that we know she is renting it out illegally. What is the best way to handle this? Thanks.
