I have a dui on my record in california. I am a licensed mechanic , do State of California renews my licenses so I can continue openning my autoshop ?

Make sure you have done everything required of you after your DUI conviction, including:
1. Completion of alcohol program,
2. Filing of SR-22, and
3. Payment of (usually two sets of) DMV Reissue fees.
Then you will be current when your license comes up for a renewal. I hope this helps you continue running your shop.
