The Girl that never smiled was written by 14 year old lead guitarist for a band called Blue Mist from Providence Rhode Island, his name is Owen Lillibridge the song reached #31 on the billboard charts in 1967. He also reach #117 in 1968 with a cover of You Keep Me Hanging On. They disbanded in 1971 .
