I have been informed that in the state of pa. you can have a conviction that occurred 15 years past, quashed. nothing else on record, just one stupid mistake, and it was reduced. however recently been informed that the original charge is what shows up if records are checked. any help would be greatly appreciated. thank you

You are informed incorrectly. Only summary convictions may be expunged, after 5 years. All other convictions remain public record, including original charge. There have been several attempts in the legislature to change this to allow expungement of other convictions but these have not passed. Write your state rep and state senator and ask them to support this.
