Question

I am receiving 2-3 calls daily from collection agencies regarding my daughter, who has never lived at my current address and is not paying her bills. Sometimes they ask for me personally, other times they ask for her. Are collection agencies allowed to harass relatives? They are tracking me as though I owe the money to them.

Answer

What you are describing is no legal. You should consider contacting an attorney who handles claims under state and federal laws that prohibit illegal and harassing debt collection methods.
