Question

I am a landlord. A windstorm blew roof off mobile home. There are no injuries. The unit will have to be condemned. The tenants pay month to month with no lease. What are my requirements as landlord, for instance, 1) notice to move plus give them 2 months rent; 2) Notice to move with cause plus pay two months rent and pay for temporary housing for two months

Answer

Does the tenant own or rent the unit? If they own the unit, I'm not sure why you would need to pay them at all. They should be carrying insurance to either help make repairs or assist them in moving. If you own the unit, then yes, you probably need to either provide substitute housing or terminate their lease. Either way, you should sit down with your own attorney to discuss the specifics.
