Question

We have received a final trust accounting from the trustees of my parent's estate. The enclosure states that beneficiaries have 180 days to object to the accounting in writing. We have already waited a year and a half for our inheritance; does this mean that we must wait until the 180 day objection period has passed as well?

Answer

Yes it does. Unless all of the beneficiaries write to the trustees and accept the accounting. Once all of the beneficiaries have accepted the accounting, there is no reason to hold up the distribution of the estate assets.
