Question

My mother in law sold her house to her daughter and son in law with the agreement that she would be able to live there until she died. Her daughter died and now the husband is telling her he is going to sell the house. He is wanting to move her to an apartment. Can he do this? She is 80 and does not want to move and this was not their agreement.

Answer

It depends how formal that agreement was. If it isn't written in the deed, or file simultaneously, it may not be enforceable.

Good luck
