I received a call from someone claiming that I am being charged for fraud . She gave me a phone number to call and spoke with someone there stated that it was a payday loan from June 2008. Can they really wait4 years later to file also to demand money in order not to get served. To me it sounds like a scam.

Be careful. Do not give out any personal information over the phone. What fraud did you commit? If yo0u took out a payday loan, and did not repay it, you owe the money. If you didn't, you don't.
