Question

If you and the custodial parent agree to a settlement on back support arrears, do you have to hire an attorney or is there a form you can fill out and take to court to have it legalized?

Answer

I assume that payments have all been made through the Attorney General.

You'll have to file a Motion to Determine Child Support Arrearage and ask a Judge to sign an order showing the amount you've agreed on as the arrearage amuont.
