I have money in an investment account currently as a joint account and the company will not update my account to a single account. The divorce decree I sent them is from my marriage in Italy and because it does not specify the accounts they wont honor it. The investment company wants me to contact my ex and get the divorce decree updated to reflect the accounts. I have no way to contact her and would probably not get any help from her in this matter so how can I get my money released?

Take all the money out and open a new account.
