I recently had a show cause for Friend of the Court in Michigan. I told my case worker that I had just gotten a job. A warrant was issued for my arrest for arrearages shortly after. If I am arrested, put in jail and then lose my job, can I sue the attorney general of the State of Michigan for emotional stress and loss of income?

Are you seriously asking whether you can sue the A.G. for moving to enforce an order of the court? Do you think you can file a lawsuit?

Absolutely not. Your actions are responsible for your job loss and emotional distress. The Attorney General is just doing their job.

Of course not. If there is a warrant, the solution is to go to court and turn yourself in. That way you'll be more likey to get a personal bond. Waiting around to get arrested is a bad idea. Go to court (preferably with a lawyer) and deal with this. Avoiding it will only make things worse.
